The island is the whole argument of this kitchen, so we mitred Lyra down both ends as a waterfall — veins running unbroken from worktop to floor. The client chose the vein direction standing over the dry-laid slabs in our workshop.
Perimeter runs stay quiet and low-key so the island can speak; the hob sits flush in a precision cut-out with concealed ventilation slots behind.
