Match the specification to the intended use

Dekton’s thickness, surface texture, pattern depth and permitted applications can differ by product. Review the specification of the colour and finish you select. Ask whether the chosen surface is appropriate for a kitchen worktop, splashback, wall panel or outdoor installation. A design that looks like natural marble remains a manufactured surface; it should be compared on its own care and fabrication requirements. Samples help you judge texture and reflection, while a full slab image shows how the pattern develops across a larger piece.

Choose a listed Dekton specification

The 2026 catalogue includes 57 current colours. Browse them by design collection, then compare the photographs and the exact options listed for that colour. The library also retains seven older photographed colours for enquiries; their availability needs confirmation.

Worktop thickness
8, 12, 20 or 30 mm, depending on the design and available format.
Surface finish
Smooth matt, textured matt, Velvet, textured Velvet or polished X-Gloss, as listed for the chosen design.
Slab format
Standard, larger-format and selected 8 mm Optimma slabs differ by design. Confirm the actual dimensions and cutting layout.
Cladding
The 4 mm range is cladding-only and is excluded from the worktop calculator.

A finish or thickness shown elsewhere in the range is not automatically available for every colour. Where an exact slab format cannot be confirmed, request a written quote or choose a listed option with an instant estimate.

Suitable Dekton products can also be specified for bathrooms, floors, stairs, wall panels and outdoor or architectural surfaces. The product, finish, slip resistance, supports and fixings must suit the setting. These applications need a written specification and quotation.

Design the edge before committing to a slab

An exposed edge, a mitred front and a waterfall end can give the same design quite different appearances. Discuss whether the face pattern continues through the material and how the selected edge detail will be formed. Slab dimensions, cut-outs and the need for support affect the layout of long runs and islands. Narrow areas near sinks and hobs deserve particular attention. Tell us about any unsupported overhangs or large appliance openings early, so the plan can be reviewed before the surface is fabricated.

Keep practical care expectations

Dekton offers useful resistance properties, and Cosentino’s instructions for the chosen finish should determine how it is used and cleaned. Avoid describing any kitchen worktop as proof against every stain, scratch or temperature change. Use chopping boards and trivets, protect edges from hard impacts and wipe spills with an appropriate cleaner. Check recommendations for textured and polished finishes, since the same cleaning method may not suit both. For exterior projects, ask about the full installation system as well as the slab’s suitability.

How is a Dekton worktop planned in London?

Send Nobile Stone your kitchen drawing, rough sizes and the designs you prefer. From our Heston, West London workshop, we can discuss templating, fabrication and fitting alongside sink, hob, splashback and access details. Confirm the material, finish and availability before work begins; catalogue photographs help with selection but do not confirm stock.
