Terms for estimates, quotes and installations · Updated 13 September 2026What an instant estimate means, how a quote becomes an order, and what we promise once the stone is in.
Nobile Stone Ltd (“we”, “us”), Unit 9, Heston Industrial Mall, Church Road, Hounslow TW5 0LD — our registered office. Registered in England and Wales, company number 17373872. Email studio@nobilestone.co.uk, phone 07585 166034.
Figures produced by our website’s instant-estimate, photo-estimate and chat tools are indicative only. They rely on the measurements or photographs you provide, assume standard thickness, edge and cut-outs, and are not an offer to sell. They help you budget; they are not a price.
A written quote follows a template (survey) visit, or a review of your plans where we agree that is sufficient. Quotes are itemised, state clearly whether VAT is included, and are valid for 30 days. Anything not listed on the quote is not included.
Your order is confirmed when you accept the quote and pay the deposit shown on it. Slabs are reserved and cutting is scheduled only once the deposit has cleared. The balance is due on the day of installation unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Before we template, base units must be fitted, level and fixed in their final position, and sinks, hobs and taps must be on site or their manufacturer’s specifications provided. We template to the kitchen as it is on the day; changes after templating may need a re-template, which we will price before doing.
Installation typically follows templating within about seven working days. Dates are confirmed on your quote and are given in good faith; we are not responsible for delays caused by supplier stock, access to site or work by other trades not being ready.
Natural stone varies in colour, veining and markings — samples show the character of a material, not the exact slab. We encourage you to view and approve your slabs before cutting. Engineered surfaces are supplied to their manufacturer’s specification. Where a run is longer than a slab, a joint will be needed; we agree joint positions with you at template.
If you are a consumer and the contract was agreed away from our premises, you may cancel within 14 days of ordering under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Worktops are made to measure: if you ask us to begin templating or cutting within that period, you agree that once cutting has started you will pay for work done and materials used. After the 14 days, cancellation is at our discretion and may incur those costs.
We warrant our fabrication and installation workmanship for ten years from installation. Materials carry their manufacturer’s guarantee — up to 25 years on selected engineered surfaces, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and, where required, registration. The warranty does not cover damage from impact, excessive heat, misuse, chemicals, staining of natural stone that has not been sealed as we advise, or movement in cabinetry or the building.
We will put right any damage we cause through our negligence. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects in cabinetry, walls, floors or services, or for work by other trades. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
If something is not right, tell us at studio@nobilestone.co.uk and we will respond within five working days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
